Google User Data

Our application accesses Google user data to provide specific functionalities related to streamlining your job search and career management. In compliance with Google's requirements, we strictly adhere to the following:

  • Access: We access your Google profile information (name, email) to authenticate you and create your user account. If you grant permission, we may access other Google services (like Gmail) specifically to assist with sending job application correspondence on your behalf. Specifically, we use the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send scope to send emails you compose or approve.
  • Use: Any Google user data accessed is used solely for the purpose of providing the features you have explicitly requested, such as facilitating email communication or managing your calendar for interviews. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not read your emails or access any other data other than what is necessary to send emails on your behalf.
  • Storage: We only store the minimal amount of data necessary to provide our services. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
  • Sharing: We do not share your Google user data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., tailored resume generation) or as required by law. We certainly do not sell your personal data.

When you send an email through CareerPilot, we may store minimal metadata (such as a log that an email was sent and the number of emails sent per day) to enforce usage limits and provide you with a record of your activity. We do not store or retain the content of your emails beyond what is necessary to complete the sending action.

CareerPilot's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere toGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information We Collect

These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
